Our Story

The Cathedral Cove Naturals business began in its initial form nearly 20 years ago at a Macadamia orchard in Hahei. This is where the founder, Hamish Pilkington first started his personal journey of committing to better eating and personal health, whilst also reconnecting with the natural environment he enjoyed on holidays as a kid. Living the London lifestyle as a 20-something before this time provided a strong contrast in lifestyle and helped contribute to the eat well, be well idea. A love for healthy, sustainably produced food and the natural environment has been ever present as the company has evolved and grown over many years. 

We are grateful for this wonderful planet we, and future generations, get to live on. We need to be mindful of our personal impact on the planet and this responsibility only grows when we generate thousands of packaged food products every week. It’s easier not to worry about what happens next, but we don’t think like that. Taking responsibility for the health of New Zealanders and the environment are at the heart of our values and our hope is that we can connect with others who understand. 

This approach is a little bit different, but we truly care, and you need to know you can trust us - we care about you just as much as we care about ourselves. We live this – every product that bears the Cathedral Cove name is designed to deliver the best nutrition and health benefits to you and your family, same as it is for us – we won’t put anything in our products that we wouldn’t eat ourselves.
